This eLearning course will address the communication needs for healthcare professionals around vaccine resistance and hesitancy. The core of the module will be to explore the concepts around effective healthcare communication to reassure vaccine recipients and build vaccine confidence. The learning will provide tools in the form of practical case studies and academic clinical learnings for healthcare professionals to utilise to address these barriers across the healthcare system.

The national HPV vaccination programme for girls aged 12- 13 years began in 2010. This is carried out by HSE vaccination teams in second level schools. From September 2019, the Programme extended to include 12 – 13-year-old boys. While the Vaccination will not be carried out in the Primary Care Setting, you may be asked questions relating to HPV and the Vaccine from concerned patients.
